When was Wisemindz founded?

Why did you feel the need to start this company? Any personal experience?
While working in the K-12 domain and implementing integrated curriculum solution for over 10000 schools pan India, handling a team of 400 people, launching a books division as the President in one of the leading education companies, perceived the gap in knowledge dissemination in schools. Sachin realized that the activity-based learning was not really brought to be as age-appropriate content.
Moreover, the activity-based programs were said to be time consuming, costly and diversion of the traditional learning practices. With a mission to change this belief, Sachin zeroed in upon organizing experiential learning programs doing workshops in Mumbai, Indore and Nagpur. With his K-12 relations, Sachin got an opportunity to work with Vibgyor Group Bangalore, Poddar World School Group Mumbai. “During this period, we fine-tuned our programs, ran through the iterations and made it in curriculum ready. The programs of Abacus and Vedic Math have been moreover mishandled by half-baked trainers and net surfers making it more difficult for a child to learn. While speaking to over 2000 odd parents and more than 300 principals, we understood that the program has to focus on more intrinsic behavioral aspect of a child. For that it has to be part of a curriculum. We devised a platform that can be affordable to each child at a fraction of cost as compared to the existing market price. This is how we marked our beginning,” Sachin informs.
Through all its products, the company ensures that the child explores through hands on activity-based learning. It focuses on creative wisdom that accelerates holistic development, gives exposure to left brain and right brain activity from early childhood that brings the best out of the students. Through the programs, it aims to expose the child to the right learning environment so that effective learning happens in a fun way. They can learn skills in leadership, community involvement, communicating across different technology platforms, finding their passions, and teamwork, which will position them for success well beyond their school years.

Product Details:
Computational Skills: Computational thinking helps students develop skills that are attractive for future employment opportunities. Math computation skills are usually introduced during the early elementary grades in the following order: addition, subtraction, multiplication and then division. Teachers often reinforce math computation skills via games, timed tests and drills. New learning builds upon prior knowledge and is continually dependent until students have mastered all four skills. We have 3 products under computational skills- Abacus, Vedic Maths and Conceptual Maths.
- Abacus: Abacus is an age-old method used for calculations. It is also the basis for the development of modern computers. It is a manual calculating instrument that uses Math as a medium and Mental Arithmetic with a faster speed and accuracy as the end result of the program.
- Vedic Maths: The latest Vedic Math based Mental Arithmetic and Skill development program scientifically designed for students of age group 12 and above, is mainly for developing arithmetic computational skills and focuses upon SPEED TRAINING EXERCISE, AUDITORY EXERCISE, VISUAL LEARNING EXERCISE, and ITERATION EXERCISES. The techniques of Vedic Mathematics not only enable the students to solve specific mathematical problems; they also develop creativity, logical thinking, and intuition, as said rightly by Dr. Michael Weinless, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics, lowa. We deal with solving algebraic expressions and amalgamate with other mathematical techniques.
- Conceptual Maths: Conceptual learning is the process by which a student learns how to organize information in logical mental Structures. Numbers are an intrinsic part of day-to-day life. Whether you have to work upon any transaction in real life, buying or selling, counting, understanding is equally important
STEM Zone: STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. What separates STEM from the traditional science and math education is the blended learning environment and showing students how the scientific method can be applied to everyday life. It teaches students computational thinking and focuses on the real-world applications of problem solving. STEM includes following products
- Coding: Coding lessons are extremely important for students as they prepare to enter the 21st-century workforce. Through activity-based coding, students can learn more than just how to code. They can learn skills in leadership, community involvement, communicating across different technology platforms, finding their passions, and teamwork, which will position them for success well beyond their school years. Students can take a dip in the knowledge sea related to open platforms and explore the world of coding, sequential understanding, gaming and sharpen logical skill sets.
- Robotics: Robotics is the interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. Robotics is the future of education where every aspect of STEM is covered. Robotic Education nurtures creativity and brings in team spirit and team performance from the early age. Innovative and analytical ability in addition gets a boost which in our education system is touching only the base.
- Python: Python is a general-purpose programming language that can be used to develop applications, analyze data, create machine learning algorithms, automate tasks, and much more. Python is an open-source language and emphasizes readable, flexible, and efficient code
- Web and App Development: Understanding the web environment and the functionality of the program is equally important to showcase the product or services suite, blog, information or any other platform. Today every business or any entity needs a website to start with to interact with the world outside to generate a larger reach. In a typical HTML and CSS course, students learn the difference between markup and presentation. Over the course of the term, students learn to create a Web page from scratch, manipulating HTML, CSS and image files. Their layouts will usually be completely customized and will typically learn about floats and positioning as part of this process
Business Acumen: This program entails business knowledge to students at an early age so that they can understand advanced concepts such as revenue or profit margin. The key is to start with the basics and incrementally work toward more difficult concepts.
- Entrepreneurship: The experience of being an entrepreneur can have a positive impact on the way children view the world around them. Develop your child’s innovative thinking, problem-solving and communication skills through our entrepreneur program to prepare them for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
- Financial literacy: Parents and teachers spend a great deal of time teaching kids about all the different aspects of money and personal finance. Unfortunately, this information does not always stick with children and those that don’t grasp the concept of personal finances can encounter money related issues later in life. Financial literacy includes many different topics and therefore it is important to introduce these topics to kids slowly so that they fully understand each one before moving on. Topics include concepts of Savings and investments in various Asset classes- Bank Ac, Fixed deposit, Mutual Funds, Stocks, Real Estate, Gold etc. Thus, we have designed a scientific curriculum to children who find this course exciting and interesting, leading them to want more.
- Communication Builder: Communication skills are important in child development for Teaching effective communication skills to children helps them to express themselves clearly and convey their feelings in a better manner. The Communication skills can facilitate learning and meaningful exchange of information with others. Communicating well may boost your child’s social IQ by helping him build healthy relationships during his interactions with other people. A child who can verbally communicate well may be comfortable producing written communication as well, which is likely to help him perform better academically.
What problem is Wisemindz trying to solve in the education ecosystem?
Students are lacking conceptual understanding in Computing and Literacy skills and they are moving out without any foundational skills required in real life
As per ASER Survey,
After five years of schooling, at age 10-11 years, just over half (51%) of students in India can read a grade II level text (appropriate for seven- to eight-year-olds).
For computing ability just 28% of grade V students are able to do division, compared with 37% in 2008.
