When was HappyMongo founded?

Why did you feel the need to start this company? Any personal experience?
HappyMongo was built on industry demand and research about the role of technology in education, especially in the near future. Most children these days are digitally aware and can easily adopt technology. They are able to focus on tasks given to them on devices and are able to learn better in a multisensory environment.
Our traditional talk and chalk teaching methods did not take into consideration the various types of learners within our student population ie: Auditory, Visual & Spatial, Physical & Kinesthetic, Verbal, Logical, or Social. So, we decided to address all these groups and create product lines that cater to every type of learner. The aim was to create engaging products and services using interactive and digital platforms, and establish a global presence, beginning with India.

What problem is it trying to solve in the education ecosystem?
Our current education system fails to recognize the needs of modern, new age children. It also lacks knowledge about the role technology can play in student education at every level. Though this is changing, many schools and parents are still unaware.
In 2020, the government introduced the concept of including AI & Coding in the school curriculum, as part of the NEP, to give our students the opportunity to excel on the global front. Majority of schools are yet to implement this suggestion.
We offer technical products and training that assist schools and parents with familiarizing students with technology, enhancing their current curriculum learning and supporting other skill development such as problem solving, cognitive thinking, teamwork, communication, and building confidence among others. These skills are 21st Century skills that were never given much focus earlier. But with experience we are realising that imparting soft skills or personality development skills creates more confident, positive and well rounded individuals. That is the need of the hour.
Also, AI & Coding training at an early age equips students with technical knowledge, the ability to tackle problems, confidence and successful technical careers, if they choose to. As the entire world is adopting Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in every industry, our students should not be left behind in this area of knowledge.
Who are your target audience?
We are a B2B and B2C company that offers products and services to schools and parents, alike. Our primary target is early education institutes and secondarily, we target older students groups, till the college level and even adult professionals.

Are there any competitors? If yes, how’s your proposition different from the rest and is able to better solve the problem of your target audience?
There are numerous companies that provide products in the Edutech industry but no one has a comprehensive product portfolio such as ours. Currently, we offer 11 different products and are planning to add a few more before the end of the year.
The other aspect of our expertise is that all our products are of global standard and created after a lot of research. They are age appropriate and easily implemented.
What is your vision/philosophy ?
Our vision is to transform education using technology and bring out the best in every student.

What impact have you been able to achieve since its inception?
HappyMongo has currently secured a client base of 150 schools in the Southern and Western regions of India and is poised to reach its mark of 1000 schools in the next one year.
